"WALADALA" - That's the name of the vineyard at Anhalt University in Bernburg. In 2021, students at the Dessau campus developed a corporate identity for it. The recent challenge was to design a suitable porcelain wine vessel as a giveaway that offers a new alternative to conventional vessels. The process began with intensive research, followed by creating a mood board and formulating a clear mission statement.
The result is the "WALADINI" - a wine vessel that not only perfectly represents the university but also meets the requirements of porcelain, wine, users, and the sender. The vessel not only reflects the university's logo but also represents the university itself in its diversity, modernity, and innovation, subtly on the second glance, rather than overtly. It consists of two parts: a simple porcelain drinking vessel, modeled after the shape of a wine glass, and an acrylic glass saucer that integrates the logo. Together, they create a harmonious contrast and only complement each other when viewed from above to form the logo of Anhalt University.
Through this project, I had the opportunity to work with 3D software Rhino and learn about the entire porcelain manufacturing process and working with lasers.
Note: Unfortunately, the vessel was not yet fully fired for the photo session due to technical reasons. Photos with the completed final product will be provided later.
A project from 2023.
